Avatr rolls off 1st right-hand drive Avatr 07 SUVs, to ship to Thailand

Avatr Technology has produced its first batch of right-hand-drive Avatr 07 SUVs (sport utility vehicles), as the electric vehicle (EV) brand backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei advances its overseas market expansion.

Avatr announced this progress on Weibo on Wednesday, stating that these vehicles produced at its Chongqing factory are about to be shipped to Thailand. The Chinese mainland is a left-hand-drive market.

In November 2024, Avatr opened its first showroom in Thailand and delivered the Avatr 11 SUV to over 100 initial customers.

The Avatr 07 was launched in China in September 2024 as Avatr's first model offering extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants alongside its battery electric vehicle (BEV) options.

Last September, Avatr launched the 2026 model year Avatr 07, currently priced starting at RMB 219,900 ($31,660) in China.

Two months later, the EV maker showcased the Avatr 07 in Thailand in November.

Avatr submitted its IPO (initial public offering) application in Hong Kong at the end of November, with the listing expected to be completed in the second quarter.

Avatr unveiled the Xpectra concept car ahead of the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Germany, featuring bold and luxurious interior and exterior designs.
