Geely Galaxy launches V900 extended-range MPV starting at $38,770

Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) sub-brand Geely Galaxy officially launched the V900 extended-range MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) on Tuesday, marking the first model in its V series.

Geely Galaxy offers three V900 variants starting at RMB 269,800 ($38,770), RMB 289,800, and RMB 329,800.

Pre-sales commenced on January 7, with initial pricing set at RMB 319,800, RMB 349,800, and RMB 389,800 respectively.

The V900 measures 5,360 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,940 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm.

It will compete against models including the BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) Denza D9 and Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV, HKG: 9868) X9 MPV.

Additionally, Luxeed — a new brand jointly developed by Huawei and Chery (HKG: 9973) — has filed for its Luxeed V9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), with its debut expected within months.

The Geely Galaxy V900 features a 1.5L engine serving as a range extender, delivering a maximum power output of 120 kW.

The vehicle is equipped with ternary lithium batteries supplied by CALB (HKG: 3931) and CATL (HKG: 3750, SHE: 300750), offering battery capacity options of 43.3 kWh and 50 kWh.

The MPV achieves a CLTC range of 220 km or 260 km on a single charge, with a combined CLTC range of 1,180 km or 1,220 km when fully fueled and charged.

Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and supports a top speed of 190 km/h.

The V900 is an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version of the L380 MPV, developed by Geely's London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC). It debuted at the Guangzhou auto show in November 2025.

The L380 was initially released on June 25, 2024, offering only a battery electric vehicle (BEV) option.

On March 3, 2025, Geely announced the elevation of Geely Galaxy from a product lineup to a new brand, incorporating LEVC as its premium MPV series.

Throughout 2025, Geely Auto sold 3,024,567 vehicles, achieving its 3-million-unit sales target.

Geely Galaxy sold 1,235,807 units in 2025, marking a 149.94% year-on-year increase, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
