Xiaomi's (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) electric vehicle (EV) unit, Xiaomi EV, showcased the endurance test results of its next-generation SU7 electric sedan, as the updated model prepares for market launch in the coming months.

The Max variant of the new-generation SU7 achieved a driving range of 4,264 km during the 24-hour endurance test, Xiaomi EV announced on Monday.

This sets a new record for mass-produced vehicles in this type of test, surpassing the 3,961-kilometer mileage achieved by Xpeng's (NYSE: XPEV) updated P7 model during a 24-hour endurance test last August.

In comparable tests, the 2019 Porsche Taycan covered 3,425 kilometers, while the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA recorded 3,717 kilometers.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT XX concept car completed 5,479 kilometers during such a test in August 2025.

During the test, the vehicle reached speeds of up to 240 kilometers per hour and operated continuously for 24 hours (including charging time) to challenge its maximum possible range.

"It's like running a marathon at sprint speed," Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun said on Weibo on Monday.

The Xiaomi SU7 Max in the test features Xiaomi's V6s Plus motor, capable of 22,000 rpm and supporting a top speed of 265 km/h.

Built on an 897-volt silicon carbide high-voltage electric platform, it houses a 101.7-kWh ternary lithium battery.

It boasts a peak charging rate of 5.2C and delivers an 835-kilometer CLTC range per charge.

Xiaomi completed this test between 10:10 pm on November 20, 2025, and 10:10 pm on November 21, 2025, in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, eastern China.

Lei said that the Xiaomi SU7 Max shares the same thermal management system as the pricier SU7 Ultra, enabling a 15-minute charge to deliver up to 670 kilometers of range.

Xiaomi EV was established in 2021 and officially launched its first model, the SU7 electric sedan, on March 28, 2024, positioning it as a competitor to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3.

On February 27 last year, Xiaomi launched the SU7 Ultra, a performance-enhanced electric sedan based on the standard SU7.

On June 26, 2025, Xiaomi launched the YU7, its first electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) and a competitor to the Tesla Model Y.

Xiaomi EV began accepting pre-orders for the facelifted SU7 earlier this month, with its official market launch scheduled for April.

In 2025, Xiaomi EV delivered 411,837 vehicles, bringing its cumulative deliveries to 551,308 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
