CATL's domestic power battery installations in China in 2025 came in at 333.57 GWh, powering 5.07 million vehicles, according to data released Friday by the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA).
The battery giant's share of China's overall battery market in 2025 were 43.42%, down 1.66 percentage points from 45.08% in 2024.
As the world's largest power battery manufacturer, CATL's batteries are widely used in models from EV makers including Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866), and Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015).
BYD's domestic power battery installations reached 165.77 GWh in 2025, powering 3.82 million vehicles.
It ranked second in the overall battery market with a 21.58% share in 2025, down 3.16 percentage points from 24.74% in the same period the previous year.
