Fang Cheng Bao reached 300,000 units sold, marking a milestone for BYD's (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) personalized sub-brand.
Fang Cheng Bao announced the milestone on Weibo Thursday, just 70 days after hitting 200,000 units sold.
The Tai 7 has reached cumulative sales of 100,000 units, Fang Cheng Bao said. This means the hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle), launched in September 2025, has contributed one-third of Fang Cheng Bao's total sales.
BYD launched Fang Cheng Bao in August 2023. The brand's first model, the Bao 5 off-road SUV, debuted on November 9, 2023, while the second model, the Bao 8 off-road SUV, launched on November 12, 2024.
The Tai series' first model, the Tai 3 SUV, was launched on April 17 last year, while another SUV in the lineup, the Tai 7, debuted on September 9.
The Tai 7 is a family SUV measuring 4,999 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. The model currently starts at RMB 179,800 ($25,800) in China.
Last October, Fang Cheng Bao announced it had reached a 200,000-unit sales milestone, with an average transaction price of RMB 238,800 for its vehicles.
Fang Cheng Bao sold a record 50,868 vehicles in December, surpassing the 50,000-unit mark for the first time and marking a 345.51% year-on-year increase, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
The Tai 3 and Tai 7 models from the Tai series were the main sales drivers last month, with 5,530 and 34,088 units sold respectively.
The Bao series models Bao 5 and Bao 8 sold 8,777 and 2,473 units respectively in December.
Fang Cheng Bao's full-year 2025 sales reached 234,637 units, marking a 316.11% year-on-year increase.
