Apollo Go plans to deploy no fewer than 90 vehicles in Jiangmen and 1,000 vehicles in Dongguan, according to the report.

The business also intends to establish its South China operational headquarters in Foshan, Guangdong, with a total investment projected at RMB 18 million.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area already hosts multiple robotaxi companies, including WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD), Pony AI (NASDAQ: PONY), and Ruqi Mobility, the report noted.

Baidu said in multiple previous earnings reports that it would accelerate Apollo Go's global expansion.

In the third quarter 2025, Apollo Go delivered 3.1 million fully autonomous driving service orders, accelerating its year-on-year growth rate to 212% from 148% in the previous quarter.

By October 2025, Apollo Go averaged over 250,000 fully driverless autonomous ride-hailing orders weekly.
