Aito announced Tuesday that its one-millionth production vehicle rolled off the assembly line, marking a significant milestone for the premium automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres (HKG: 9927).
The milestone vehicle is the M9, Aito's flagship model with a starting price of RMB 469,800 ($67,350), which is one of the most expensive models from a Chinese domestic brand.
It took Aito five years to reach the first million units and the brand aims to achieve the second million within two years, said Seres founder Zhang Xinghai at a roll-off ceremony.
Aito, launched jointly by Seres and Huawei on December 2, 2021, is the first brand under Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business. Its current lineup includes the M5, M7, M8, and M9 — all SUV (sport utility vehicle) models.
Since its launch in December 2023, the Aito M9 has demonstrated robust performance, accumulating over 260,000 deliveries in two years — setting a delivery record for vehicles priced around RMB 500,000 in China.

In late November, local media outlet LatePost reported that Aito planned to launch the new M6 SUV in the second quarter of 2026, targeting the RMB 250,000-level family SUV market.
The M5 is currently Aito's most affordable model, priced between RMB 229,800 and RMB 249,800.
Aito will also roll out the facelifted M9 and a wheelbase-extended M9L variant, according to LatePost.
