- The new EREV variants of the Aito M7 boast a 327-km battery range, offering a combined range of 1,690 km when fully fueled and charged.
- In the Chinese market, EREV models are increasingly equipped with larger battery packs.

Aito, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres Group (HKG: 9927), has added longer battery range variants to the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) of its M7 SUV (sport utility vehicle), following the trend of larger battery packs in comparable models.
The two new variants include a 5-seat version and a 6-seat version, priced starting at RMB 299,800 ($42,970) and RMB 319,800 respectively.
They deliver a CLTC battery range of up to 327 kilometers, with a combined range of 1,690 kilometers when fully fueled and charged.
Both new variants feature a 53.4 kWh ternary lithium battery and a rear motor delivering a maximum power of 227 kW.
The Aito M7 was initially launched on July 4, 2022. On September 23, 2025, the 2026 model year M7 was launched with a starting price of RMB 279,800.
The vehicle measures 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.
It comes standard with power batteries supplied by CATL (SHE: 300750). The battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants feature a 100-kWh battery pack delivering up to 710 km of range.
The introduction of the longer range options comes as domestic automakers equipping hybrid models with larger battery packs.
Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV, HKG: 9868) updated four models last week, introducing EREV variants for two with battery ranges up to 430 kilometers.
Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) debuted its D19 large SUV last October, with the EREV version featuring a battery pack capacity of up to 80 kWh.
Aito, the first brand under Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business, has seen robust growth over the past few years.
Earlier today, the brand celebrated the milestone of its one-millionth vehicle rolling off the production line.
