Xiaomi EV delivers record 50,212 cars in Dec, with YU7 setting new high

Xiaomi EV set a new delivery record last month as its YU7 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) continued to gain momentum.

The Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) electric vehicle (EV) unit delivered 50,212 vehicles in December, according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

This surpassed the previous record of 48,654 units set in October, marking a 94.51% year-on-year increase and an 8.57% rise from November.

Xiaomi EV said on January 1 that its December deliveries surpassed 50,000 units for the first time, though specific figures were not disclosed.

The YU7 delivered 39,089 units in December, surpassing November's 33,729 units to set a new record, accounting for 77.85% of Xiaomi EV's total December deliveries.

Deliveries of the SU7 electric sedan series continued to decline, totaling 11,123 units in December -- a 56.91% year-on-year drop and an 11.16% decrease from November.

This marks the third consecutive month of year-on-year decline for SU7 monthly deliveries.

Xiaomi EV began accepting pre-orders for the facelifted SU7 earlier this week, with its official launch scheduled for April.

In 2025, Xiaomi EV delivered 411,837 vehicles, bringing its cumulative deliveries to 551,308 units.

The SU7 delivered 258,164 units in 2025. The YU7, which began deliveries in June, delivered 153,673 units in 2025.

Local media outlet 36Kr reported on December 30 that Xiaomi EV would launch 4 new models in 2026, marking its first entry into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment.

Its preliminary plan for next year is to introduce four new models: a facelifted SU7 sedan, an executive version of the SU7, an extended-range five-seat SUV, and an extended-range seven-seat SUV, according to the report.

The updated SU7 comes in single-motor and dual-motor variants, with the single-motor version delivering a peak power output of 235 kW (315 horsepower).
