Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) has launched a new limited edition of its highest-priced model, the ET9, to commemorate the company reaching its 1-millionth vehicle production milestone.
The ET9 limited edition officially went on sale today with a starting price of RMB 818,000 ($117,070), which is RMB 50,000 or 6.51% higher than the standard version's starting price of RMB 768,000.
Only 9 units of this limited edition ET9 are available, with just 3 units per exterior theme.
Nio has printed the number "1,000,000" in multiple locations on the vehicle’s body and interior to mark its special edition status.
Owners receive benefits including 10 years of free battery swaps, consistent with other ET9 variants.
Nio mentioned the commemorative limited edition ET9 yesterday at its F2 factory in Hefei, Anhui, during the rollout ceremony of its 1-millionth vehicle, though pricing was not disclosed.
The ET9 was launched at Nio Day 2024 on December 21, 2024, with deliveries commencing in late March 2025.
It stands as one of the most expensive models from a Chinese automaker, aiming to challenge traditional luxury vehicles including the Mercedes-Maybach.

Deliveries peaked at a record 810 units in April last year before declining significantly, averaging around 100 units in recent months.
