Xiaomi targets 550,000 vehicle deliveries in 2026

On January 1, Xiaomi EV said it delivered over 50,000 vehicles in December -- a record high -- without specifying the exact figure. The precise number is expected to be available later this month in the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) report.

Xiaomi formally announced its entry into the automotive industry on March 30, 2021. Though a relatively latecomer among Chinese EV startups, it has become one of the fastest-growing players.

Its EV business achieved its first quarterly profit in the third quarter, when deliveries reached 108,796 units, according to financial results released on November 18.

Xiaomi's current lineup includes the SU7 series electric sedan, a competitor to Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3; and the YU7 SUV (sport utility vehicle), a rival to Tesla Model Y.

On December 30, local media outlet 36Kr reported that Xiaomi EV's preliminary 2026 plan involves launching four new models: a facelifted SU7 sedan, an executive version of the SU7, an extended-range five-seat SUV, and an extended-range seven-seat SUV.

The SU7 facelift and extended-range seven-seater SUV are tentatively scheduled for release in the first half of the year, while the SU7 executive edition and extended-range five-seater SUV are planned for the second half of 2026 through year-end, sources said.

Xiaomi EV plans to launch the SU7 sedan's facelift, an executive edition of the SU7, and two extended-range SUVs in 2026, according to a local media report.
