Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV, HKG: 9868) has reached its 100th vehicle delivery milestone in Hong Kong, marking an initial achievement in establishing its first user base there.

Xpeng chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced today on social media platform X that the company delivered its 100th new vehicle in Hong Kong on December 14, with 30 new G6 owners in attendance for the celebration.

"We remain committed to supporting Hong Kong in building a smarter, safer, and greener urban mobility ecosystem," said the Xpeng CEO.

Mr. He did not explicitly state this, but the images he shared show that all 100 vehicles are G6 SUVs (sport utility vehicles).

While this latest milestone may seem less significant compared to Xpeng's tens of thousands of monthly deliveries domestically and thousands overseas, it still signifies progress in an important market.

On April 9, 2024, the company signed an agreement with Malaysia's Sime Darby, authorizing it as Xpeng's official distributor in the Hong Kong market.

On May 17, 2024, the G6 SUV and X9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) made their Hong Kong debut and began accepting orders.

Xpeng's first showroom in Hong Kong opened on July 19 last year.

Xpeng has seen robust export growth this year, though Europe remains its primary destination.

The company exported a record 5,057 vehicles in November, bringing its January-November exports to 39,779 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

From January to November, Xpeng delivered 391,937 vehicles, representing a 155.54 percent year-on-year increase.

Xpeng continues to intensify its overseas market expansion efforts, aiming for overseas markets to contribute half of its sales within the next decade.

Earlier this month, it entered a strategic partnership with Malaysia's EP Manufacturing Bhd (EPMB), formally launching localized production efforts in the Southeast Asian nation.

This marks Xpeng's second localized production project in the Asia-Pacific region and its third globally, with mass production slated for 2026.
