Changan Automobile (SHE: 000625) today saw its 30 millionth vehicle roll off the production line, four years after reaching the 20 millionth milestone.

The 30-millionth Changan vehicle is an Avatr 12 4-LiDAR Edition from the company's Avatr sub-brand.

Changan took 30 years to reach its first 10-millionth vehicle milestone and an additional seven years to achieve the 20-millionth milestone.

The Avatr 12 4-LiDAR Edition was launched on October 28 with a starting price of RMB 269,900 ($38,220). Avatr offers a limited-time RMB 10,000 discount, lowering the effective starting price to RMB 259,900.

Equipped with four LiDAR sensors -- including three long-range units and one high-precision solid-state LiDAR -- the model supports 360-degree perception coverage with centimeter-level accuracy.

Currently, Changan maintains partnerships with 1,461 suppliers and operates 11,632 sales channels, according to the company.

The automaker is also expanding its business scope, with plans to mass-produce humanoid robots by 2028 and launch commercial air-taxi services in 2030.

Changan sold 284,197 vehicles in November, including 243,638 units under its own brands, according to data released earlier this month.

It sold 126,167 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in November, bringing its January-November total to 994,891 units.

Changan's NEV sales will exceed 1 million units in 2025, chairman Zhu Huarong said today.

The automaker currently operates three NEV brands: Avatr, Deepal, and Nevo.

Avatr is an EV brand jointly established by Changan, Huawei, and CATL, originally named Changan Nio.
