The ES8 large electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) became Nio Inc's (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) top-selling model last month, while nearly all other models experienced declines.
The ES8 recorded 10,689 retail sales in November, making it Nio's best-selling model, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
This represents a 1,768.71 percent year-on-year increase and a 59.47 percent rise from October's 6,703 units.
The large SUV accounted for 29.47 percent of Nio Inc's total November deliveries of 36,275 units.
From January to November, the ES8's retail sales reached 24,471 units, a 198.90 percent year-on-year increase, contributing 8.81 percent to Nio Inc's deliveries during the same period.
Figures from the CPCA slightly diverge from Nio's December 2 announcement of 10,677 ES8 deliveries, likely due to statistical methodology differences.
The ET5 Touring recorded retail sales of 3,205 units in November, maintaining its position as Nio brand's second-highest selling model. This represents a 22.62 percent year-on-year decline and a 29.19 percent decrease compared to October.
The wagon model recorded retail sales of 43,006 units from January to November, down 4.62 percent year-on-year.
The ES6 SUV saw retail sales of 2,268 units in November, maintaining its position as Nio's third-highest selling model. This represents a 61.83 percent year-on-year decline and a 23.79 percent decrease compared to October.
Retail sales for the model from January to November totaled 40,320 units, down 40.73 percent year-on-year.
The ET5 sedan recorded retail sales of 984 units in November, down 47.52 percent year-on-year and down 30.70 percent month-on-month.
Its retail sales from January to November came in at 15,116 units, down 37.60 percent year-on-year.

The EC7 coupe SUV recorded 10 retail sales in November, down 94.65 percent year-on-year and down 37.50 percent month-on-month.
The model's January-November retail sales were 1,213 units, down 52.80 percent year-on-year.
The L60 midsize SUV, the first model from Nio Inc's sub-brand Onvo, recorded retail sales of 5,751 units in November, a 13.16 percent year-on-year increase and a 2.33 percent rise from October.
The L90 large SUV saw retail sales of 5,970 units in November, down 49.07 percent from October.
