Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) achieved record vehicle exports last month as overseas deliveries remained robust.
The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker exported 5,057 vehicles in November, surpassing its previous record of 5,004 units set in September, according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
This marks the second time Xpeng's monthly exports have exceeded 5,000 units, reflecting a 40.39 percent year-on-year increase and a 1.16 percent rise from October.
From January to November, Xpeng exported 39,779 vehicles, a 91.27 percent year-on-year increase, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
When announcing its November delivery figures on December 1, the company said it delivered 39,773 vehicles overseas from January to November, a 95 percent year-on-year increase.
Xpeng ranked ninth among automakers exporting the most vehicles from China in November, according to the CPCA.
BYD (HKG: 1211) topped the list with 128,067 units, Chery (HKG: 9973) ranked second with 48,066 units, Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) third with 15,629 units, and Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) fourth with 13,555 units.
Xpeng delivered 36,728 vehicles in November, marking its first sequential decline since May. This represents an 18.88 percent year-on-year increase but a 12.58 percent decrease compared to October.
Notably, the company has already achieved its goal of doubling deliveries in 2025, with 391,937 vehicles delivered from January to November. It delivered 190,068 vehicles in 2024.
The company has significantly ramped up its overseas market expansion efforts over the past two years, aiming for overseas markets to contribute half of its sales within the next decade.
Xpeng has already launched localized vehicle assembly in Indonesia and Europe.
On October 13, Xpeng announced the commencement of exports for the Mona M03 electric sedan -- one of its most popular models -- which is expected to drive further growth in overseas markets.
The first available markets for the Mona M03 are the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The electric sedan delivered 148,413 units from January to October, accounting for 41.78 percent of Xpeng's total deliveries during that period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
