AUDI has filed for the AUDI E7X electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) in China, marking the second model following the AUDI E5 Sportback launched under the new brand jointly developed by Audi and SAIC.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) today released its latest catalog of vehicles that will be permitted for sale, seeking public feedback. The AUDI E7X is included, apparently representing the production version of the AUDI E SUV Concept.

Public feedback can be submitted between December 6-12. Inclusion in this catalog represents the final major regulatory step before a vehicle can be sold in China.

The AUDI E7X has four pages in the catalog, with product model numbers SVW650171CEV, SVW650173CEV, SVW650172CEV, and SVW650174CEV. The first two are single-motor variants, while the latter two represent dual-motor configurations.

The vehicle measures 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm.

Its curb weights are 2,457/2,482/2,526/2,584/2,673 kilograms, with a maximum supported speed of 230 kilometers per hour.

The single-motor variants feature a motor with a peak power output of 300 kW (402 horsepower), while the dual-motor versions add an additional front motor with a peak power of 200 kW.

The AUDI E7X utilizes ternary lithium batteries supplied by CATL (HKG: 3750, SHE: 300750).

The model is apparently the production version of the Audi E SUV Concept unveiled at the 2025 Guangzhou auto show last month, with an expected launch next year.

Audi and SAIC jointly launched the AUDI brand in China on November 7, 2024, debuting its first concept car, the E Concept.

The production version of the E Concept, the E5 Sportback, went on sale on September 17.

A key distinction between the AUDI brand and Audi brand is the use of a letter logo instead of the latter's iconic four-ring emblem.
