Chinese autonomous driving startup Pony AI (NASDAQ: PONY) has partnered with Estonian ride-hailing company Bolt to integrate autonomous-driving vehicles into the latter's European taxi services.

Bolt aims to become one of the first platforms in the European Union to offer fully autonomous vehicles, CEO Markus Villig told Reuters.

"We aim to do this within a year from the first deployments which are planned for 2026," Villig said

The two companies will first test and validate the safety for the fully autonomous, driverless capability before deploying across European countries, according to Reuters.

Pony AI has not yet announced the partnership. The company has already tested robotaxis in overseas markets including the UAE and Luxembourg.

On November 17, Pony AI announced a partnership with Stellantis to advance autonomous vehicle development in Europe.

Stellantis and Pony AI will jointly develop and test SAE Level 4 autonomous vehicles, combining Stellantis' AV-Ready platform with Pony AI's autonomous driving technology.

Pony AI's operations in China continue to advance, with yesterday's announcement of a partnership with local ride-hailing firm Sunlight Mobility to deploy autonomous ride-hailing services in China's tier-one cities.

The two companies will establish a fleet based on Pony AI's seventh-generation robotaxi, with the first fleet set to be deployed in Guangzhou this year.

Pony AI will release its unaudited the third quarter 2025 financial results later today.

Pony AI said the autonomous driving suite for its seventh-generation robotaxi costs 70 percent less than the previous generation.
