Nio Onvo launches L90 Black Knight Edition limited to 999 units

Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), has launched a limited edition of its large electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) L90, continuing the exploration initiated by the Nio main brand and its Firefly sub-brand in recent months.

The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition was officially launched at the 2025 Guangzhou auto show, which commenced today. It's limited to 999 units, and deliveries are set to begin in early December.

Its starting price, including the battery pack, is RMB 306,800 ($43,140), which is RMB 41,000 or 15.43 percent higher than the regular L90's starting price of RMB 265,800.

Under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan, the Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition starts at RMB 220,800, compared to RMB 179,800 for the standard version.

Currently, the Onvo L90 is only available with an 85-kWh battery pack, with a monthly BaaS rental fee of RMB 899.

The limited-edition model comes standard with an all-wheel-drive system, a zero-gravity seat in the second row, electric running boards, exclusive 21-inch wheels, and black-themed trim accents.

The Onvo L90 Black Knight Edition was on display today at the Onvo booth during the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (Auto Guangzhou 2025), alongside Hong Kong actor Louis Koo.

Koo gained widespread recognition in the Chinese mainland for starring in the Condor Heroes 95 television series.

The 2025 Guangzhou auto show runs from November 21 to 30, with November 21 designated as Media Day, accessible only to media and invited guests. The general public may visit from November 22 to 30.

Onvo's booth is located in Hall 17.2, Zone D, opposite Xiaomi EV. This hall also hosts booths for Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV), Luxeed, Avatr, and Changan Mazda.

The Nio main brand and Firefly brand share a booth in Hall D20.2, opposite SAIC Audi. This hall also features booths for Zeekr (NYSE: ZK), Lynk & Co, and Rox Motor.

Onvo officially launched the L90 three-row SUV on July 31 and commenced deliveries the following day, August 1. The model offers six-seat and seven-seat configurations.

From August to October, the L90 delivered 10,575, 10,997, and 11,776 units respectively.

Onvo had originally planned to launch the L80 five-seat SUV in the fourth quarter of this year but delayed it due to tight factory capacity.
