The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker reaffirmed its 2026 target of selling 1 million vehicles and advanced the launch date of its Lafa 5 electric hatchback from the previously announced November 28 to November 27.
"We achieved our 2025 sales target of 500,000 units 45 days ahead of schedule," wrote Zhu Jiangming, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO, in his WeChat status today, according to a screenshot shared by Leapmotor on Weibo.
"With multiple new models including the Lafa 5, D19, and A10 poised for launch, Leapmotor will challenge the 1 million unit sales target next year," Zhu wrote.

The Lafa 5 starts at RMB 105,800 ($14,858) during pre-sales and boasts a CLTC range of up to 605 kilometers.
