On February 21 this year, the Bao 5 Smart Driving Edition went on sale with a starting price range of RMB 239,800 ($33,660) to RMB 329,800.
The Bao 5 comes standard with a 31.8-kWh battery pack and an 83-liter fuel tank. Its CLTC battery range is 125 kilometers, with a combined fuel-electric range exceeding 1,200 kilometers.
The new longer-range variant of the Bao 5 is expected to feature a larger battery pack, potentially achieving a CLTC battery range of 200 kilometers.
Launched on November 12, 2024, the Bao 8 is Fang Cheng Bao's second model following the Bao 5 and marks BYD's first vehicle under its umbrella to feature Huawei's driver assistance system.
The Bao 8 currently offers six-seat and seven-seat configurations, with starting prices ranging from RMB 379,800 to RMB 407,800.
Adding a five-seat variant to the Bao 8 could enhance its appeal to potential customers requiring more interior space.
