Dongfeng Motor's premium electric off-road brand M-Hero has added a higher-priced variant to its M817 off-road SUV lineup, following the model's launch last month.
The new Max+ variant starts at RMB 369,900 ($51,950). The car was initially launched on August 17 with Pro and Max versions priced at RMB 319,900 and RMB 349,900 respectively.
The Max+ variant features CATL's (HKG: 3750) larger 50.4 kWh Freevoy Battery, delivering a 215-kilometer range.
With a full tank and fully charged battery, this new variant achieves a combined range of 1,365 kilometers.
The Pro and Max versions feature a 31.7 kWh battery pack delivering 140 kilometers of range. Combined range reaches 1,300 km when both fuel tank and battery are fully replenished.
The M817 is a hard-core off-road plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with dimensions of 5,100 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,899/1,919 mm in height, featuring a wheelbase of 3,005 mm.
Key selling points include Huawei's latest ADS 4 advanced driving assistance system and the HarmonySpace 5 cockpit.
