Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) sub-brand Geely Galaxy today commenced pre-sales for its Starshine 6 hybrid sedan to compete with affordable family sedans including BYD's (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) Qin Plus.
The Starshine 6 offers five pre-sales variants priced at RMB 85,800, RMB 93,800, RMB 99,800, RMB 107,800, and RMB 118,800 respectively.
Geely Galaxy offers a limited-time RMB 6,000 discount, effectively lowering the starting price range to RMB 79,800 ($11,180) to RMB 112,800.
The Starshine 6 will officially be launched in October.
The model is a new mid-size sedan under the Geely Galaxy brand, positioned slightly below the A7.
The Starshine 6 measures 4,806 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,756 mm.
It features Geely's next-generation Leishen AI Hybrid 2.0 technology, offering battery ranges of 60 km and 125 km.
Geely Galaxy claims the Starshine 6 achieves the world's lowest fuel consumption in the 2L class at 100 km per liter.
