Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) has produced its one-millionth vehicle, marking a milestone for the Chinese new energy-vehicle (NEV) maker founded in 2015.

The one-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line just 343 days after Leapmotor's 500,000th vehicle, the company announced today on Weibo.

Leapmotor, one of China's earliest NEV startups, saw its first mass-produced vehicle roll off the line on June 6, 2019.

On June 28, 2022, it reached the milestone of producing its 100,000th mass-produced vehicle, followed by the 500,000th vehicle milestone on October 17, 2024.

The company initially offered only battery electric vehicles (BEVs), but in 2022 announced plans to develop extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), beginning deliveries of EREVs in 2023.

Leapmotor's current lineup sold in China includes the T03, B10, B01, C01, C10, C11, and C16.

The T03, B01, and B10 are available only as BEV variants, while the other models also offer additional EREV variants.

In March, Leapmotor founder and chairman Zhu Jiangming said the company would achieve annual sales of 500,000 to 600,000 units this year.

By August, Leapmotor raised its full-year 2025 sales target to 580,000 to 650,000 units, aiming to challenge 1 million units next year based on its outperforming performance this year.

Last week, Leapmotor announced its all-new flagship D19 SUV (sport utility vehicle) will make its global debut on October 16. As the first model in its D series, it will target a price point of RMB 300,000 ($42,080).

Over the next three years, the company will fill the RMB 60,000 to RMB 300,000 market segment with 13-14 models across its A, B, C, and D series, Zhu said last December.

Leapmotor delivered 57,066 vehicles in August, marking its fourth consecutive month of record-high deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

From January to August, Leapmotor delivered 328,859 vehicles, a 136.43 percent year-on-year increase.

Deutsche Bank estimated Leapmotor's September deliveries to reach a record 63,000 units, representing a month-on-month increase of about 10 percent and a year-on-year growth of about 87 percent.

Domestic retail sales are projected at around 56,000 units, with exports totaling about 7,000 units.
