Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) delivered 24,702 vehicles across 46 countries and regions overseas from January to August, marking a year-on-year increase of over 137 percent, the company announced today on Weibo.
During this period, Xpeng ranked first in pure electric vehicle sales among Chinese new EV makers in 12 countries and regions outside China, it said.
The company's overseas retail outlets have doubled to 275, Xpeng said.
The latest figures indicate overseas markets contributed 9.09 percent of Xpeng's 271,615 deliveries from January to August.
The company aims for overseas markets to account for half of its sales within the coming decade.
In 2024, Xpeng's overseas sales surpassed 20,000 units, company management said during a March earnings call.
Xpeng's 2025 overseas business targets include more than doubling sales growth and establishing over 300 sales and service outlets globally, its management said.
Xpeng delivered 37,709 vehicles in August, marking its second consecutive record-high month. This represents a 168.66 percent increase from the 14,036 units delivered in the same month last year and a 2.70 percent rise from July's 36,717 deliveries.
From January to August, Xpeng delivered 271,615 vehicles, a 251.79 percent year-on-year increase.
The company aims to double its 2024 delivery volume of 190,068 units to about 380,000 units in 2025.
