The Aito M7 was initially launched on July 4, 2022. Huawei rolled out the previous M7 update at an event on September 12, 2023.

On May 31, 2024, Aito launched the M7 Ultra, followed by the SUV's Pro series in August.

Currently, the Aito M7 offers eight variants, all extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), with starting prices ranging from RMB 249,800 ($35,020) to RMB 329,800.

Last month, the updated Aito M7 entered China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology regulatory filing catalog, paving the way for its market launch.

The updated SUV features larger dimensions: 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.

By comparison, the current Aito M7 measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,945 mm in width, and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

The updated M7 will offer battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, along with five-seat and six-seat configuration options.

The model will come standard with power batteries supplied by CATL (SHE: 300750). The EREV variants offer battery pack capacities of 37 kWh and 53 kWh, delivering a combined range exceeding 1,600 kilometers when fully fueled and charged.

The BEV variants feature a 100 kWh battery pack with a maximum range exceeding 700 kilometers.

They will also incorporate Huawei's high-voltage electric drive platform, offering reduced size, lower weight, higher efficiency, and quieter operation, Aito previously said.
