Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) has launched the EX5 in Uruguay, bringing the SUV (sport utility vehicle) to yet another international market.
The EX5 marks a significant milestone for Geely in the Uruguayan market, and the company plans to introduce more pure electric and plug-in hybrid models to the local market in the future, it said in a statement today.
Currently, Uruguay's EV penetration rate remains the highest among Latin American countries, with forward-thinking policies driving the rapid development of green mobility, the company said.
Geely has also launched its user ecosystem platform, Geely·Go, for local consumers.
Geely will build a "fast interaction and deep thinking" architecture technology to evolve AI from a task-executing tool to an intelligent assistant capable of handling complex matters.
