In the second quarter, Li Auto delivered 111,074 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 2.30 percent and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 19.61 percent.

The quarterly delivery volume exceeded Li Auto's reduced guidance announced on June 27, when the company lowered its second-quarter delivery guidance from the previously announced range of 123,000 to 128,000 vehicles to 108,000 vehicles, citing temporary impacts from the upgrade of its sales system.

Li Auto has seen a decline in sales this year, with its mainstay L series models performing poorly.

In the first seven months of the year, Li Auto delivered 234,669 vehicles, down 2.21 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The L series models -- Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9 -- each saw year-on-year declines in deliveries ranging from 40 percent to 53 percent in July, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) delivered 2,816 units in July, the second-highest monthly total on record, but accounted for 9.16 percent of Li Auto's monthly deliveries.

The Li i8 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle), which was just launched last month, faced poor initial acceptance during its launch phase.

The Li i8 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) launched on July 29 faced poor initial reception upon its rollout, forcing the company to re-launch the model on August 5, just one week after its launch. The re-launch included a reduction in available versions and price cuts.

Deliveries of the Li i8 will begin on August 20. The company aims to deliver between 8,000 and 10,000 Li i8 units by the end of September, it said on August 13.

Li Auto will launch the Li i6 in September, a smaller electric SUV than the Li i8, with lower prices expected.

Li Auto has withdrawn a new sales system that had been in place for less than six months amid intensifying market competition and short-term sales pressure.
