FAW-Audi, Audi's joint venture with FAW Group, began pre-sales of the Q6L e-tron family of SUVs (sport utility vehicles) in China on July 26.
The pre-sales cover two models, the Audi Q6L e-tron and Audi Q6L Sportback e-tron, with prices ranging from RMB 353,000 ($49,240) to RMB 403,000.
The Audi Q6L e-tron Long Range Edition is priced at RMB 353,000, and the Pioneer Edition is priced at RMB 383,000.
The Audi Q6L Sportback e-tron Long Range Edition is priced at RMB 373,000, and the Pioneer Edition is priced at RMB 403,000.
The higher-priced variants of these two models are equipped with Audi's customized Huawei Qiankun smart driving technology free of charge.
The Q6L e-tron family is developed based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, which incorporates components and technical modules from Volkswagen's MEB (Modular Electric Drive Matrix) and Porsche's J1 architecture to create a premium EV platform.
Test drives for these models are now available at Audi dealerships, with official launch scheduled for August.
