- Geely Galaxy began pre-sales of the A7 earlier this month, with a starting price of RMB 97,800.
- The A7 is the first plug-in hybrid sedan based on Geely's GEA architecture, with a length of 4,918 mm.

Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) sub-brand Geely Galaxy will launch the A7 hybrid sedan in two weeks, following the rollout of the updated E5 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) just yesterday.
The Geely Galaxy A7 will be officially launched on August 8, the brand announced today on Weibo, calling the sedan the "hybrid family sedan disruptor."
The A7 will be one of Geely Galaxy's new models launched this year and will also be another affordable mid-to-large-sized sedan in the Chinese market, with a starting price of less than RMB 100,000 ($13,960).
Yesterday, Geely Galaxy launched the updated E5 electric SUV, lowering the starting price while increasing the range.
The A7 is the first plug-in hybrid sedan based on Geely's GEA architecture (Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture), with a length, width, and height of 4,918 mm, 1,905 mm, and 1,495 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,845 mm.
Geely Galaxy began pre-sales of the A7 on July 11, offering five variants with starting prices of RMB 103,800, RMB 113,800, RMB 119,800, RMB 125,800, and RMB 133,800.
On July 18, just one week after the A7's pre-sales began, Geely Galaxy announced two new, more affordable variants for the A7, with pre-sales starting prices of RMB 97,800 and RMB 113,800.
As is customary in the Chinese automotive market, the official launch price of a model is typically lower than the pre-sales price.
The two new variants are equipped with a basic driver assistance system, while all previously announced variants feature the more advanced G-Pilot smart driving system.
G-Pilot, unveiled by Geely on March 3, comprises five smart driving solutions -- G-Pilot H1, G-Pilot H3, G-Pilot H5, G-Pilot H7, and G-Pilot H9 -- similar to BYD's God's Eye smart driving system.
The Geely Galaxy A7 comes with the G-Pilot H3 assisted driving solution, which supports urban commuting navigation assistance and highway navigation assistance.
The Geely Galaxy A7 has two battery pack options: an 8.5 kWh battery from CALB and an 18.4 kWh battery from CALT, providing a battery range of 70 km and 150 km, respectively.
With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the vehicle's combined range reaches up to 2,100 kilometers, according to previously disclosed information from Geely Galaxy.
The Geely Galaxy A7 will compete with the BYD Qin L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i plug-in hybrid sedans.
A research note by Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin's team on July 15 estimated that the A7's final official starting price will be around RMB 90,000, with monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units.
