China exports 3.48 million cars in H1 2025, up 18% year-on-year

NEVs contributed 41 percent of China's total vehicle exports from January to June, an increase of 7 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

In January-June, China exported 3.48 million cars, up 18 percent year-on-year, according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

In June, China exported 620,000 cars, up 28 percent year-on-year but down 10 percent month-on-month.

Top 10 destinations for Chinese vehicle exports in June: Mexico 40,391 units, UAE 39,432 units, UK 28,664 units, Saudi Arabia 27,713 units, Russia 26,425 units, Philippines 24,940 units, Belgium 24,536 units, Brazil 20,376 units, Kazakhstan 20,086 units, Australia 19,489 units.

In the first six months of the year, the top 10 destinations for China's car exports were: Mexico 280,097 units, UAE 228,979 units, Russia 180,067 units, Brazil 161,314 units, Belgium 149,646 units, Saudi Arabia 147,271 units, Australia 143,682 units, United Kingdom 136,297 units, Philippines 122,628 units, Kazakhstan 88,076 units.

In June, China exported 256,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs), up 92 percent year-on-year, accounting for 41 percent of total vehicle exports.

From January to June, China exported 1.42 million NEVs, up 41 percent year-on-year, with the growth rate exceeding the 25 percent recorded in the same period last year.
