The BEV variant of the Aito M8 secured over 10,000 pre-orders within 8 hours of starting pre-sales, Huawei's HIMA business announced today.
The Aito M8 EV -- the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant of the Aito M8 -- has received over 10,000 pre-orders within 8 hours of its pre-sale launch, Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business announced today.
Aito launched pre-sales of the M8 EV earlier today, with a starting price of RMB 378,000 ($52,730).
The Aito M8 EV will be officially launched in August. Customers who pay a deposit of RMB 5,000 to reserve the model will receive a RMB 5,000 discount and a free purple exterior worth RMB 8,000.
Aito is a joint automotive brand between Huawei and Seres Group, which launched the M8 large SUV on April 16, initially offering only an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant with a starting price of RMB 359,800.
