The Li i6 is a spacious two-row, five-seat family pure-electric SUV set to launch in September, Li Xiang, founder, chairman, and CEO of Li Auto, said on Weibo following the disclosure of the vehicle's regulatory filing information on June 20.

"We aim to provide families considering the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, or Audi Q5 with an additional purchasing option," Li said at the time.

The company is preparing for the launch of its first pure electric SUV model, the 6-seat Li i8, and shared the interior photos of the vehicle earlier today.

Li Auto will begin accepting pre-orders for the Li i8 on July 17, with the official launch event scheduled for July 29.

The Li i6 will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5, according to Li Auto's founder.
