China NEV retail at 691,000 in Jun 1-22, up 38% year-on-year

From June 1 to 22, China's passenger new energy vehicle, NEV retail sales totaled 691,000 units, up 38 percent year-on-year and up 11 percent month-on-month, according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association, CPCA on June 25.

Year-to-date, China's passenger NEV cumulative retail sales reached 5.049 million units, up 35 percent year-on-year.

Wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs from June 1 to 22 totaled 666,000 units, up 22 percent year-on-year and up 6 percent month-on-month, according to the CPCA.

Cumulative wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs year-to-date reached 5.872 million units, up 38 percent year-on-year.

From June 1 to 22, China's total retail sales of all passenger vehicles reached 1.269 million units, up 24 percent year-on-year and up 8 percent month-on-month.

So far this year, China's cumulative retail sales of all passenger vehicles have reached 10.086 million units, up 11 percent year-on-year.

This means that the penetration rate of NEVs in retail sales was 54.5 percent from June 1 to 22, and 50.06 percent year-to-date.

In the first week of June, June 1-8, the average daily retail sales volume of passenger vehicles in China was 42,102 units, up 17 percent year-on-year but down 14 percent compared to the same period last month.

In the second week of June, June 9-15, the average daily retail sales volume of passenger vehicles in China was 52,694 units, up 23 percent year-on-year but down 5 percent compared to the same period last month.

In the third week of June, June 16-22, the average daily retail sales volume of passenger vehicles in China was 80,525 units, up 30 percent year-on-year and up 42 percent compared to the same period last month.

From June 1 to 22, China's total wholesale sales of passenger vehicles reached 1.238 million units, up 14 percent year-on-year and up 9 percent month-on-month.

From June 1 to 8, China's average daily wholesale sales of passenger vehicles were 38,836 units, up 10 percent year-on-year but down 2 percent month-on-month.

From June 9 to 15, the average daily wholesale sales volume of passenger vehicles in China was 57,683 units, up 38 percent year-on-year and up 9 percent month-on-month.

From June 16 to 225, the average daily wholesale sales volume of passenger vehicles in China was 74,767 units, up 1 percent year-on-year and up 17 percent month-on-month.

Year-to-date wholesale sales of passenger vehicles in China reached 12.028 million units, up 12 percent year-on-year.

Nio Inc, including the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands, saw 5,170 insurance registrations in China last week, up 9.30 percent from the previous week.
