Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) will showcase the YU7 at a major auto show starting this weekend, marking the debut of its first SUV (sport utility vehicle) model at an auto show.
The company's full lineup will be on display at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show, or Auto 2025 Shenzhen, which runs from May 31-June 8, Xiaomi EV announced today on Weibo.
Models on display will include the Xiaomi YU7, according to a poster by Xiaomi EV.
The auto show will have its press day on May 31 and public days from June 1 to June 8. Xiaomi's booth is located in Hall 6, Booth 06.
Xiaomi gave the YU7 its debut on May 22, its second model after the SU7 electric sedan, and will go on sale in July.
The SU7 was launched on March 28, 2024, helping Xiaomi quickly gain success in China's highly competitive EV market.
Xiaomi came in at No. 8 with a 2.8 percent share of global BEV sales in the first quarter, according to a report last week by market research firm TrendForce.
Xiaomi was the only one in the top 10 with just one model, TrendForce noted.
On February 27 this year, Xiaomi launched the SU7 Ultra, the company's electric sedan with 1,548 Ps of maximum horsepower based on the regular SU7.
The YU7 is a five-seat mid-to-large-size SUV with length, width, and height of 4,999 mm, 1,996 mm, and 1,600 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.
The model is a competitor to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) best-selling Model Y, with larger dimensions and longer range, although pricing information has yet to be released.
Xiaomi is offering three variants of the YU7 -- Standard, Pro, and Max, similar to the SU7.
Both the YU7 Standard and Pro variants come with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 96.3 kWh and a CLTC range of 835 kilometers and 770 kilometers respectively.
The YU7 Max variant comes with a lithium ternary battery pack with a capacity of 101.7 kWh and has a CLTC range of 760 kilometers.
For comparison, the Tesla Model Y currently has two variants in China with CLTC ranges of 593 kilometers and 719 kilometers.
