The car is jointly created by Avatr chief design officer Nader Faghihzadeh and Dior and Fendi artistic director Kim Jones, targeting the high-end group that values fashion.

This is Avatr's second limited-edition model. The EV maker launched the Avatr 011, a limited-edition of 500 units, when it unveiled its first model, the Avatr 11 pure electric SUV (sport utility vehicle), on August 8, 2022.

The Avatr 012 measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,469 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm.

It has the same body structure as the Avatr 12, but its more premium positioning is emphasized through custom paintwork, different interiors and features including the wheels.

There is only one variant of the model, which is equipped with the DriveONE dual-motor system from Huawei, with a total power of 402 kW.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of up to 220 km/h.

The Avatr 012 uses a CATL Qilin Battery pack that supports 5C charging and can be charged up to 80 percent in as little as 10 minutes.

The battery pack has a capacity of 93.4 kWh and can provide a CLTC range of 650 kilometers.

The model is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 driver assistance system, which can realize advanced smart driving functions including Navigate on Autopilot in cities.

Avatr was formerly known as the Changan and was established on July 10, 2018 by Changan and Nio (NYSE: NIO), with each holding a 50 percent stake. Nio has now withdrawn from the company.

At the end of August 2021, Changan, CATL and Huawei jointly announced the updated Avatr brand. At that time, they said that they would build EVs based on the co-created CHN architecture, where C stands for Changan, H stands for Huawei, and N stands for CATL.
