Media registration for the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2025) will start on Friday, with the event about a month away.
The media registration system for Auto Shanghai 2025 will go live on March 21, and media reporters can register online after 9:00 am Beijing time, the event's organizers announced today.
The deadline for media registration is 8:00 pm on April 20.
The upcoming auto show will be held from April 23 to May 2 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
April 23-24 will be press days, April 25-26 will be for professional visitors, and the general public can visit from April 27 to May 2.
All journalists are required to register online with real-name authentication, according to the event organizers.
Online registration requires the journalist's passport number and mobile phone number, and registration information needs to be filled in and uploaded.
Journalists who have successfully registered can enter the venue by scanning their faces. The entry period includes the media days on April 23-24 and any two days during the exhibition from April 25 to May 2.
On-site registration for media is not accepted. Interested journalists can register after 9 am Beijing time on March 21 via the following link:

The Shanghai auto show was founded in 1985 and is held every two years. It has now become one of the most highly anticipated automotive industry events in the world, with the rapid rise of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China.
The last event was held from April 18-27, 2023, and featured 1,413 vehicles on display, including 513 NEV exhibits.
At that time, 93 vehicles made their world debut, including 28 from multinational companies. In addition, 64 concept cars were exhibited at the event.
The 2023 Shanghai auto show received more than 13,000 global media workers and the number of visitors reached 906,000.
