Earlier today, Xiaomi EV announced that it saw the milestone of delivering its 200,000th vehicle.

Xiaomi EV took 229 days to complete the delivery of the first 100,000 units, while the second 100,000 units were delivered in just 119 days, it said.

Xiaomi EV officially launched the SU7 electric sedan on March 28, 2024, a competitor to 's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3.

The SU7 comes in three variants -- Standard, Pro, and Max -- with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($29,890), RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900, respectively.

Deliveries of the Standard and Max versions of the SU7 began in April 2024, and deliveries of the SU7 Pro began in May 2024.

On February 27, Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 Ultra, the company's electric sedan with 1,548 Ps of maximum horsepower based on the regular SU7.

The SU7 Ultra has a starting price of RMB 529,900 and deliveries began on March 2.

The regular SU7 received over 248,000 locked-in orders in 2024, with cumulative deliveries of over 135,000 units last year, according to data previously announced by Xiaomi EV.

In February, deliveries of the SU7 continued to exceed 20,000 units, the fifth consecutive month to see monthly deliveries exceeding 20,000, giving cumulative deliveries of over 180,000 units, Xiaomi EV said on March 1.

As a model that has been on the market for a year, the SU7 continues to see strong demand, with Chinese customers who buy the regular SU7 now having to wait at least 30 weeks for delivery, according to CnEVPost's monitoring.

On February 7, Lei said in a Weibo post that he went to Xiaomi EV's factory to discuss how to further boost production capacity.

Xiaomi's car factory is located in Beijing, where it is headquartered, and the first phase currently in operation has an annual capacity of 150,000 units.

In July last year, Xiaomi began construction on phase 2 of its EV factory in Beijing, located near its phase 1 plant in the Yizhuang area.

In addition to the SU7 and SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi is expected to launch the YU7 electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) in June or July.
