Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) delivered 25,287 vehicles in February, up 285 percent from 6,566 a year earlier, and essentially flat from 25,170 in January, according to data released by the company today.
In January-February, Leapmotor delivered 50,457 vehicles, up 167.78 percent from 18,843 in the same period last year.
By the end of February, Leapmotor had delivered 650,005 units since its inception, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.
The beginning of the year is usually a slow time for China's auto industry, especially the months in which the New Year holiday falls. This year's Chinese New Year holiday ran from January 28 to February 4, compared with February 10-17 last year.
Leapmotor aims to deliver 500,000 vehicles for the full year of 2025, it previously said.
For the full year 2024, Leapmotor delivered 293,724 vehicles, a 103.76 percent increase from 2023.
Founded in 2015, Leapmotor is one of the first new car-making forces in China, initially offering only battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, but over the past few years has begun to offer extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models, targeting a larger market.
The company currently sells the T03, C01, C10, C11 and C16 in China, with all but the T03 offering both BEV and EREV variants.
On February 21, Leapmotor launched the updated T03, offering two variants with starting prices of RMB 59,900 ($8,220) and RMB 69,900 respectively.
Leapmotor will begin pre-sales of the new model B10 SUV (sport utility vehicle) on March 10, it previously said.
The B10 is the first to be built on the Leap 3.5 architecture and is the first model in Leapmotor's B-series.
