- Leapmotor said the B10 will be priced at less than RMB 150,000 ($20,520) and will feature LiDAR to support smart driving in urban areas.
- It said the B10 will accelerate the widespread adoption of smart driving systems.

Chinese new energy-vehicle (NEV) maker Leapmotor (HKG: 9863), backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA), will start pre-sales of its B10 SUV (sport utility vehicle) in about a month's time, bringing its advanced intelligent driving system to a less expensive model.
The Leapmotor B10 will be available for pre-sale on March 10th to continue the push for wider adoption of smart driving systems, the company announced on February 10th on Weibo.
The B10 will be Leapmotor's first to feature LiDAR on a model priced at less than RMB 150,000 ($20,520) and will support smart driving in urban areas, the company said.
Leapmotor gave the B10 its international debut at the Paris auto show last October, and gave it its China debut at the Guangzhou auto show in November.
The all-electric SUV is the first to be built on the Leap 3.5 architecture and is the first model in the company's B-series, a diversified lineup that Leapmotor had previously said targets the world's largest market segment.
The B10 is a compact SUV, about the size of a BMW X1, and will compete with models including the Aito M5 and Nio (NYSE: NIO) Onvo L60, Leapmotor previously said.
The model would target a price range of RMB 100,000 to RMB 150,000, the company said last October.
Leapmotor's preview of the B10's smart driving capabilities comes as BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) unveiled its vehicle intelligence strategy on February 10, starting to make smart driving systems available for free across its entire lineup.
BYD brought the Smart Driving Edition updates to 10 models in the Dynasty lineup and 11 models in the Ocean lineup, including the Seagull, which is priced as low as RMB 69,800.
Leapmotor delivered 25,170 vehicles in January, down 40.8percent from December's 42,517, and up 105.02 percent from 12,277 in the same month last year, according to data released by the company earlier this month.
At the end of January, Leapmotor had delivered 624,718 units since its inception, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.
Leapmotor aims to deliver 500,000 vehicles in the full year 2025, it previously said. For the full year 2024, it delivered 293,724 vehicles, a 103.76 percent increase from 2023.
