Retail sales of all passenger vehicles in China totaled 1,083,000 units in the December 1-15 period, up 14 percent from the same period last month.
Retail sales of passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China amounted to 536,000 units in the December 1-15 period, up 71 percent from the same period last year and up 6 percent from the same period last month, data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed.
So far this year, cumulative retail sales of passenger NEVs in China totaled 10.13 million units, up 43 percent from the same period last year.
Wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs from December 1-15 were 580,000 units, up 68 percent from the same period last year and up 2 percent from the same period last month, according to the CPCA.
Cumulative wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs so far this year totaled 11.3 million units, up 39 percent from a year earlier.
From December 1-15, China's retail sales of all passenger vehicles were 1,083,000 units, up 34 percent compared with the same period last year and up 14 percent from the same period last month.
So far this year, cumulative retail sales of all passenger vehicles in China totaled 21.34 million units, up 6 percent year-on-year.
This means that China's NEV penetration at retail stood at 49.49 percent from December 1-15 and 47.47 percent year-to-date.
In the first week of December -- December 1-8 -- average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 62,730, up 32 percent year-on-year and up 11 percent from the previous month.
In the second week of December -- December 9-15 -- average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 83,024, up 36 percent year-on-year and up 17 percent from the previous month.
During December 1-15, wholesale sales of all passenger cars in China were 1,138,000 units, up 39 percent year-on-year and up 4 percent from the same period last month.
During December 1-8, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 70,600, up 55 percent year-on-year and up 6 percent from the previous month.
During December 9-15, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 81,826, up 26 percent year-on-year and up 1 percent from the previous month.
Cumulative year-to-date wholesale sales of Chinese passenger cars totaled 25.25 million units, up 7 percent year-on-year.
