Delivery wait times for the ET7, EC7, and ES8 have changed from 2-3 weeks to 3-4 weeks, the first time in the past five months that the Nio brand has seen such a change.
Three Nio (NYSE: NIO) brand models saw wait times turn slightly longer, the first time in the past five months that the change has occurred.
Chinese customers who order the Nio ET7, EC7 or ES8 will now have to wait 3-4 weeks for delivery. Previously the delivery wait times for these models were all 2-3 weeks.
Nio's main brand is currently delivering eight models -- ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, EC6, ET7, ET5, ET5 Touring -- of which the first five are SUVs and the last three are sedans. Deliveries of the ET9, unveiled last December, are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
The ET7, EC7 and ES8, which saw wait time changes today, are the highest priced of Nio's currently available models in the ET, EC and ES ranges respectively.
Wait times for the sub-brand Onvo's first model, the L60, remain unchanged today. The L60's wait time was shortened to 8-10 weeks on December 1 from 10-14 weeks previously.
CnEVPost has been monitoring wait times for Nio models in China on a daily basis since September 2022. The last time Nio's main branded models saw a change in wait times was on July 3, when the ET7 went from 3-4 weeks to 2-3 weeks, and the ES7's wait times were no longer shown.
The current wait times for the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring remain at 2-3 weeks.

Nio guided for fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries to be in the range of 72,000 to 75,000 vehicles in its third-quarter earnings report announced on November 20. The November delivery figure means it would need to deliver at least 30,449 vehicles in December to meet that guidance.
The company announced bigger promotions on December 1, including a longer NOP (Navigate on Pilot Plus) free access for car buyers and better benefits for those opting for the BaaS (battery as a service) option.
It's not clear if the longer delivery wait times for the ET7, EC7, and ES8 are due to the promotion getting more orders.
