Deepal is Changan's NEV brand unveiled in 2022 and launched its first model on July 25, 2022, the Deepal SL03 electric sedan.

Deepal had made its Middle East debut on April 30 at an NEV and smart mobility show in UAE.

Deepal's current available models in China include the SL03 series of electric sedans, the S07 SUV, and the G318 SUV. It unveiled the S05 SUV and the L07 sedan on August 30, the first day of the 2024 Chengdu auto show.

In the international market, Deepal set up an operating entity in Thailand in August last year to start advancing its globalization strategy.

The NEV maker launched the Deepal S07 and Deepal L07 in Thailand at the end of November 2023, and Changan said at the time that the first phase of its production facility in Thailand would start production in the first quarter of 2025, introducing models under the sub-brands Deepal, Avatr, and Nevo.

Deepal aims to sell 450,000 units globally in 2024, an executive said on Weibo on November 27 last year.

Deepal delivered 20,131 vehicles in August, up 36.61 percent year-on-year and up 20.39 percent from July, according to its September 1 release.

So far this year, Deepal has delivered 120,710 vehicles, up 73.6 percent.
