So far this year, Li Auto has delivered 288,103 vehicles, up 38.4 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

At the end of August, Li Auto's cumulative deliveries since inception stood at 921,467 vehicles.

Founded in July 2015, Li Auto is one of the major extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) players in China.

Its first model, the Li One EREV, was released in October 2018 and began deliveries in December 2019.

The Li One has now been discontinued and Li Auto currently sells mainly L-series EREVs, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9.

The company's first BEV, the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), went on sale on March 1, but its weak performance has made a limited contribution to sales.

Currently, Li Auto's least expensive model, the Li L6, is the mainstay of its sales.

The Li L6 has been widely welcomed by young customers, with deliveries exceeding 20,000 units for the third consecutive month in August, Li Auto said today.

Li Auto's share of China's NEV market of 200,000 yuan ($28,210) and above grew to 18 percent in July, overtaking Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) as the top-selling Chinese NEV brand, it said.

As of August 31, Li Auto had 481 retail stores in 145 cities and 423 service centers and Li Auto authorized body and paint shops in 220 cities.

It has 748 supercharging stations with 3,506 charging piles in China.
