Nio (NYSE: NIO) sub-brand Onvo saw the first production vehicle of its debut model, the L60, roll off the assembly line, and interior details are being made public.

The first production vehicle of the Onvo L60 rolled off the assembly line today at Nio's F2 plant in NeoPark, Hefei, Anhui province, where Onvo's president, Ai Tiecheng, delivered the vehicle to Xia Qinghua, who heads Onvo's user operations and service operations.

Ai is a Nio ES8 Founding Edition owner and his vehicle was delivered on July 3, 2018, by Xia.

Starting today, Xia will drive 20,000 kilometers with his vehicle in China to continue testing the model for 36 days.

The first production vehicle of the Onvo L60 is numbered 0000001, possibly signaling Nio's hope that the model will be able to sell one million units in the future.

The Onvo L60 is the 12th model under the Nio system, sharing manufacturing equipment and processes with the main Nio brand, Onvo said.

Before the model begins deliveries, it went through more than 5,000 testing processes to ensure quality, Onvo said.

The Onvo L60 has accumulated more than 6.77 million kilometers of testing, far exceeding industry standards, according to the brand.

As the L60 begins mass production, its interior is no longer a secret.

Onvo calls the L60's cabin the Urban Oasis AI Smart Cockpit, and the overall layout resembles that of a (NASDAQ: TSLA) model.

The model's dashboard carries a screen measuring 17.2 inches with a resolution of 3K, and there is also an 8-inch screen at the rear for passengers.

The Onvo L60 comes with Nio's own Onvo Sound sound system with 18 audio units totaling more than 1,000 W and supporting Dolby sound.

Its cabin offers ambient lighting with 16 preset themes.

The official launch of the L60 will be in September, Onvo said, without revealing a specific date.

Nio officially launched Onvo brand on May 15, which is a sub-brand internally codenamed Alps, targeting the mass market. The EV maker also has a sub-brand internally codenamed Firefly, targeting the lower-priced market.

The Onvo L60 made its debut on May 15 and became available for pre-order at a pre-sale price of RMB 219,900 ($30,730) including the battery, which is exactly RMB 30,000 less than the current starting price of the Tesla Model Y in China.

The model would go on sale in late September, and deliveries would begin about a week after the launch, which is the end of September, Ai said in a July 25 live video stream.
