The updated Neta X has a starting price of RMB 89,800 ($12,550), which is 10 percent lower than its predecessor.
Neta Auto, the electric vehicle (EV) brand of Chinese EV company Hozon Auto, has launched the updated Neta X SUV (sport utility vehicle) that brings lower prices while allowing for upgraded specs.
The updated Neta X is available in four variants with starting prices of RMB 89,800 ($12,550), RMB 99,800, RMB 114,800, and RMB 124,800, respectively.
The model was originally launched on October 18, 2023, when it was also offered in four versions with starting prices of RMB 126,800, RMB 136,800, RMB 136,800 and RMB 146,800 respectively.
On February 19, Neta cut the prices of multiple models, with all variants of the Neta X being slashed by RMB 22,000, bringing the starting prices to RMB 104,800, RMB 114,800, RMB 114,800, and RMB 124,800, respectively. Neta also added a new variant priced at RMB 99,800 at the time for the Neta X .
The starting price of the updated Neta X was further reduced by RMB 10,000, or 10 percent, from its predecessor.
The Neta X is a compact SUV (sport utility vehicle) with a length, width and height of 4,619 mm, 1,860 mm and 1,628 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.
The model comes standard with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 120 kW and a maximum torque of 220 Nm.
The least expensive variant of the updated Neta X is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a capacity of 53.3 kWh and a CLTC range of 401 kilometers. The other three variants carry an LFP battery pack with a capacity of 63.5 kWh and a CLTC range of 501 kilometers.
It continues to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 cockpit chip, which was the choice of the mainstream flagship EV models before this year.
The updated Neta X has a 15.6-inch center screen, upgraded from 10.1 inches.
Neta delivered 11,015 vehicles in July, up 9.72 percent year-on-year and 7.93 percent from June, according to data it released on August 1.
In the January-July period, Neta delivered 64,785 vehicles, down 10.59 percent year-on-year.
