Xpeng delivered 30,207 vehicles in the second quarter, within its guidance range of between 29,000 and 32,000 vehicles.
Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) will report its unaudited financial results for the second quarter of 2024 before the US markets open on Tuesday, August 20, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.
Already released figures show that Xpeng delivered 30,207 vehicles in the second quarter, an increase of 30.17 percent year-on-year and up 38.43 percent from the first quarter.
Deliveries for the quarter fell within the guidance range of between 29,000 and 32,000 vehicles provided by Xpeng on May 21.
Xpeng had previously guided second-quarter revenue to be in the range of RMB 7.5 billion ($1.04 billion) to RMB 8.3 billion, representing year-on-year growth of about 48.1 percent to 63.9 percent.
Xpeng has had a mediocre year-to-date delivery performance, with the vast majority of months around 10,000 units, about half the monthly deliveries in the fourth quarter of last year.
Expectations are high for the M03, the first model in its upcoming Mona array, which debuted on July 3 and is set to go on sale later this month.
Earlier today, Xpeng unveiled official interior images of the M03, showing the model's design styling much like Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model 3.
Mona's first model is named M03 and is meant to honor the Tesla Model 3, He Xiaopeng, Xpeng's chairman and CEO, said at a July 3 event.
Xpeng's other much-anticipated new model is the P7+, which is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter. The model was included in a regulatory filing catalog last month, allowing core specifications to be revealed.
The P7+ will not be using any LiDAR and will switch to a pure vision solution similar to the Tesla FSD, CnEVPost learned exclusively last month.
