The company later posted similar information on the X platform.

Xpeng unveiled the in-vehicle system, called Tianji, at its AI Day event on May 20, saying it is the industry's first operating system to fully utilize AI technology for smart cockpits and smart driving.

In terms of smart driving capabilities, the system's AI driver is able to provide an intelligent driving experience in scenarios including driving and parking, according to the company.

Xpeng launched an AI chauffeur function at the event, allowing users to store up to 10 memorized routes, each up to 100 km long.

In the cockpit, the Tianji system gives virtual voice assistant Xiao P greater comprehension and demand reasoning based on AI large language models to provide a better experience, Xpeng said on May 20.

The system also makes the center screen's touch responsiveness more than 30 percent faster and apps launch 50 percent faster, according to Xpeng.

The latest beta test applies to the Xpeng G9, P7i, G6, and X9, and those interested can sign up between July 22-23, with 1,000 available spots for each model.

Xpeng is also bringing unlimited XNGP (Xpeng navigation guided pilot) functionality available on all roads in its latest software, but only for the Max version cars in the Chinese mainland.

The company will host a technology event "belonging to explorers" on July 30, Xpeng said.
