Leapmotor launched the C16, a six-seat SUV, on June 28, offering both BEV and EREV variants.
Leapmotor's six-seat SUV (sport utility vehicle) model, the C16, has received more than 10,000 orders in its first month on the market, the new energy vehicle (NEV) maker announced today.
Deliveries of the model have already begun, and the currently available limited- time purchase benefits have 10 days left to expire, Leapmotor said on Weibo.
Those limited-time entitlements include RMB 4,000 ($550) in discounts and getting up to RMB 20,000 in other incentives.
Leapmotor launched the C16 on June 28, offering both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, like its other C-series models.
The Leapmotor C16 EREV is available in three options with starting prices of RMB 155,800, RMB 162,800 and RMB 179,800 respectively.
Its BEV variants also offer three options with starting prices of RMB 161,800, RMB 168,800, and RMB 185,800 respectively.
Leapmotor expected the C16 to deliver around 2,000 units in July and more than 5,000 units in August, the company said at the time of the C16's launch.
It announced on July 16 that it had reached the cumulative 400,000-vehicle delivery milestone, saying that deliveries of the C16 had already begun.
Founded in 2015, Leapmotor was one of China's first new car-making forces and is expanding overseas in partnership with Stellantis, Europe's second-largest carmaker by sales.
Leapmotor's other models currently on sale include the T03, C01, C10, and C11, with all but the T03 offered in both BEV and EREV variants.
Leapmotor delivered a record 20,116 vehicles in June, up 52.29 percent year-on-year and up 10.74 percent from May, according to data it released earlier this month.
In the January-June period, Leapmotor delivered 86,696 vehicles, up 94.81 percent year-on-year.
