The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker held its brand launch in Ecuador's capital, Quito, on May 3, 2023, and gave the Han EV, Yuan Plus EV and Dolphin, three battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, a debut in the country.

On July 18, 2023, BYD said it brought the Tang EV to Ecuador.

The Song Plus DM-i is powered by BYD DM-i technology and has a combined range of 1,105 kilometers and 337 horsepower, according to the company.

The model's 15.6-inch Intelligent-Rotate Screen and Infinity Deluxe sound system create a seamless and intelligent cabin experience, BYD said.
