China's NEV penetration at retail stood at 49.23 percent in June and 41.91 percent year-to-date.
China's retail sales of new energy-vehicles (NEVs) continued to rebound in June, posting a second consecutive month-on-month increase after an unexpected decline in April.
During June 1-30, retail sales of passenger NEVs in China totaled 864,000 units, up 30 percent year-on-year and up 6 percent from the previous month, according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
The preliminary figure is higher than the 860,000-unit estimate released by the CPCA on June 20. Final figures are expected to be released later this month.
So far this year, cumulative retail sales of China's passenger NEVs totaled 4.119 million units, up 33 percent year-on-year.
Wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs from June 1-30 were 975,000 units, up 28 percent from a year earlier and up 8 percent from the previous month, according to the CPCA.
So far this year, cumulative wholesale sales of China's passenger NEVs were 4.612 million units, up 30 percent from a year earlier.
From June 1-30, China's retail sales of all passenger vehicles were 1.755 million units, down 8 percent from the same period last year but up 2 percent from the same period last month.
So far this year, cumulative retail sales of all passenger cars in China totaled 9.828 million units, up 3 percent from a year earlier.
This means that China's NEV penetration at retail stood at 49.23 percent in June and 41.91 percent so far this year.
In the first week of June -- June 1-10 -- the average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China was 36,010, down 8 percent year-on-year and down 23 percent from the previous month.
In the second week of June -- June 11-16 -- average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 45,707, down 19 percent year-on-year but up 1 percent from the previous month.
In the third week of June -- June 17-23, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 64,632, down 9 percent year-on-year but up 38 percent from the previous month.
In the fourth week of June -- June 24-30, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 95,403, down 1 percent year-on-year but up 17 percent from the previous month.
For June 1-30, China's wholesale sales of all passenger cars were 2.13 million units, down 5 percent year-on-year but up 4 percent from the same period last month.
During June 1-10, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 35,191, down 13 percent year-on-year but up 4 percent from a month earlier.
During June 11-16, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 44,439, down 28 percent year-on-year and down 5 percent from the previous month.
During June 17-23, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 78,622, up 8 percent year-on-year and up 27 percent from the previous month.
From June 24-30, average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in China were 137,237, up 1 percent year-on-year and up 11 percent from the previous month.
Cumulative year-to-date wholesale sales of passenger cars in China totaled 11.714 million units, up 6 percent year-on-year.
